Not saying any of these are show stoppers but good things to think about as you prepare to buy.Īny used lift is going to need constant little repairs and probably eventually leak from every known gasket. The diesel fumes & soot would drive me nuts in an enclosed space. The downside is inside a shop it might be touch to steer and not super maneuverable. I've seen big forklifts with short, razor sharp "lumber forks" on them which would be my last choice for rigging machinery. If you don't have the forks you need then they can be expensive to buy and ship. If you intend to load or unload 102" wide trailers the load center is around 50" out.no problem for a big beast as far as counterweight but can you get enough of the tips under the load to handle it like you wish. I don't think I could live without 2 x 6 x 72" forks and I wish I had 96" at times. Another point to check out is the fork length. Spotters are always key when doing rigging anyway. If those are limitations to you I don't know.
It does seem to have a single-stage (single tube) mast which doesn't lift very high and is hell to see around when trying to position the forks in a delicate manner. What kind of loads are you planning to transport with it is another serious question. The google pics I see have huge contact area on the duals and the big steer tires which helps.
Imo the more you need to trust the concrete the more you need to put into the preparation of it. Personally if planning to move heavy machinery with any forklift, I'd use a rebar grid, wire tied and set on 2" chairs. Relative to your concrete it all depends on your soil and the stone base you put under it.
